Welfare Party of India to be launched in Karnataka

Bangalore. Nov. 7, 2011. Welfare Party of India (WPI) will be launched in Karnataka State very soon, said Mr. Muhammed Ibrahim, Joint Convener of the state unit of WPI. He said “our party will be different from other political parties. We are not power hungry, we are entering into politics to serve the people and replace the corrupt leadership from all the Places.”
WPI was recently launched its state units in Kerala and West Bengal where the public response was more than expectation. Mr. Ibrahim said.

WPI was launched on April 18 in Delhi. Its office bearers are:
President: Mujtaba Farooq (Aurangabad).
Vice Presidents: Ilyas Azmi (UP), Father Abraham Joseph (Kerala), Maulana Abdul Wahab Khilji (Delhi), Zafarul Islam Khan (Delhi), Mrs. Lalitha Naik (Karnataka).
General Secretaries: Dr. S. Q. R. Ilyas (Delhi), Prof. Sohail Ahmed Khan (Bihar), Prof. Rama Panchal (Delhi), Mrs. Khalida Parveen, Mr. P. C. Hamza (Kerala).
Treasurer: Mr. Abdus Salam (Kerala).
Secretaries: Prof. Rama Surya Rao, Akhtar Husain Akhtar, Adv. Aamir Rasheed, Mr. Subramani.
Women’s Wing: Mrs. Sheema Mohsin (Bangalore).
Mr. Ibrahim said “We are visiting to all the district of Karnataka to enrole members and establish its district units. After completion of this process state unit will be launched probably in the month of January or February 2012.”
